Biographical Note for STEINMANN PIN

Stein·mann \ˈshtīn-ˌmän\ Fritz (1872–1932), Swiss surgeon. Steinmann invented for insertion into the distal end of a fractured bone a surgical pin that provided a hold for skeletal traction. He published a report of his invention in 1907.
